Rafael Alves, Ph.D., LL.M. is a partner at Souto Correa Advogados, a leading Brazilian law firm. He has extensive experience in domestic and international arbitration, mediation, and negotiation, representing clients in complex disputes involving construction contracts, M&A transactions, commercial partnerships, real estate, banking, oil & gas, and energy. He regularly serves as an arbitrator in Brazil and previously worked as Deputy Counsel at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris.
Dr. Alves teaches arbitration at the Graduate Program (FGV LAW) at Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo (FGV DIREITO SP) and is listed as arbitrator and mediator in several Brazilian chambers.
